Confectionery ingredient
Soap root extract is a technological ingredient for foam structure in halva and oriental sweets, not a decorative herb.
Confectionery ingredient
Natural saponins usually sit around 4-15%, and that range matters. A root batch can foam in a cup and still collapse in production if bark dust, sand or moisture are outside tolerance.
When 100 kg of halva mass loses volume because foam collapses, the plant pays twice: lower yield and extra manual correction. Testing the extract on the real recipe is cheaper than guessing by smell or colour.
Soap root is raw material for a process. Treating it like a market herb is where the production risk begins.
